Presentation and Feedback

When we came to present I was happy with what he got. I knew there would be some big areas that the tutors would pick at but we were all pleased the project was complete.

The tutors opinions were mixed, one tutor liked our piece and thought it was very funny and we achieved what we set out to do. Other tutors were less enthusiastic about the piece.

One of the main criticisms was the use of our Youtube Clip. When we added this to the timeline I thought it was too long and the viewers would switch off half way thorough. When it came to the feedback they thought it was good to use it but said it dragged on and should have been a lot shorter. I think the reason we did leave it on is because it shows Tango acting about and being escorted to his seat by the stewards for him to then run off and do his antics again, we could neither edit the beginning nor cut off the end because he always did something different.

Another point for concern was the fact we didn't show Tango in a bad light. They were happy with the amount of good press he received but they thought we were lacking on the negative side.  When we were filming the interviews Hannah requested we use Vox Pops from fans and opposition fans and even Wolverhampton fans to have a mixed bag of reviews. Some where along the line we forgot about these and it is quite annoying to say we did so much planning.

One of the tutors said that we needed to be with tango for at least a month to make him get used to us and then maybe he wouldn't be so conscious about the cameras being there so he can act his true self. This was also another point that was brought up because the tutors thought we didn't have enough information on tango such as why does he support Wednesday and not Wolverhampton? but thinking back we did capture him telling us why but we think he must have said it out of a whim when we were setting up the equipment.

Overall the feedback wasn't too shocking because we already knew our mistakes and what we should have captured more of. It is disheartening because we were so organised and up to date with the project to begin with and I don't think this showed in the final edit. We did have huge problems with the editor and this caused the project to be completed in one day and made my sound editing to be done in under an hour, but we cant all blame it on this case, I think as sound editor I should have put 'all' the sounds on sound track pro and tried to fix them the best I could rather than rely on a final edit of the footage. Even though this was a stressful time it has opened my eyes and made me realise I can get the work done when I put my full effort and time in to it.
I would like to continue with this project because I have enjoyed it immensely. I would like to over the holidays film more and take the tutors feedback in to consideration and fix the problems.
